Thirdpresence is one of the first 100 companies to participate in the prestigious TAG Registry alongside Facebook, Google, and Yahoo. 

What is the TAG Registry? 

The Trustworthy Accountability Group (TAG) is an advertising industry initiative to fight criminal activity in the digital advertising supply chain. It’s the foundation program for fighting fraud, reducing ad-supported piracy, blocking malware, and increasing transparency in the digital advertising ecosystem. 

Registered companies are verified as legitimate participants in the digital advertising industry through a proprietary background check and review process. 

Companies then receive a globally unique identifier, also known as a TAG-ID, which can be shared with partners and added to ads or ad inventory. 

Why is this important? 

The TAG identifier means that companies can tell which of their industry partners have taken the necessary steps to verify their business as a legitimate digital ad industry participant. Companies can then monitor their ad campaigns and see who is receiving the money from each advertising impression. Overall, the flow of money is cut off to bad actors.
